The dog days of summer have come to a close with evening chills and windy days. We celebrated the arrival of autumn with a hike up Ellis Trail in the Sandia Mountains with Chelly and Simba. When Simba posed on a fallen tree trunk we suddenly realized the genetic make-up of this mystery dog. We are now convinced that he is part cow dog and part Great Dane (perhaps with a little lab mixed in).
