This morning Chelly was snappy with Simba as he tried to coax her into playing with him. We took them both to the local highschool ballfields for some play. It went well, with Chelly showing much more interest in him and in retrieving a ball. Then, this afternoon, Max brought his female red heeler friend for the inevitable visit as Michelle and I were sitting by the pen. Max looked right at home, but we had to put Chelly in the house and Simba in his playpen when some growling occurred. Max's owner's friend finally came for him and his buddy and we loaded them in her small truck. Something had changed, though. Chelly was suddenly much more tolerant and mother-like with Simba. She even shares her rawhide chew toy with him!
