A trip to the village of Chama in search of building supplies and decorative items for cabin resulted in the adoption of a rescue puppy. While Ross was building a log cabin playhouse in the backyard of our mountain cabin, I visited a few of the gift shops in the little town of Chama. My last stop was the non-profit gift shop sponsored by the local animal rescue organization, The Humane Place. I had hoped to find a wall hanging for the bunk room, but instead came home with a six-month old lab/heeler mix with mismatched eyes we have since named, "Chama."
